Vincent Linwood Fauntleroy, Jr. was born on June 17, 1959 in Newark, NJ to Dazella Foster and Vincent Linwood Fauntleroy, Sr. Vinny unexpectedly passed on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center.
Vinny matriculated through high school and completed 2 years of college. In 1979, he entered the United States Army. He served as a Military Police Officer in Germany for 8 years with his “Army brothers”, with whom he maintained relationships until his passing. In 1992, after receiving numerous decorations, Vinny was honorably discharged from the military. Later, he worked for the Veterans Administration as a security officer before beginning a career with the Office of Navy Intelligence. Vinny retired as a Captain from the Office of Naval Intelligence with 32 years of service in law enforcement for the federal government. In 2002, Vinny met Patrice “Pat” Green and they fell in love. On April 17, 2004 he married the love of his life in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Only the best for his “Sweetiest”! Vinny knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He joined Antioch Baptist Church in May 2015, where he attended regularly and served faithfully on the Security Ministry. He was a loving husband, son, father, provider, and friend. He enjoyed the simple things in life - his wife, family, and friends. Vinny was passionate about the New York Giants football team and did not shy away from letting you know. Vinny was truly a master of his trade and willingly shared his knowledge with his family and friends. He enjoyed learning the history of all cultures. At least on one occasion, he was accused of graduating from the Army War College.
Vinny is survived by his beloved wife: Pat; mother, Dazella Foster; sisters: Victoria Bradshaw (GA), Patricia Foster (GA), L. Cynthia Foster (PA), Stacy Raheem (NJ), and Tami Foster (FL); one brother, Rodney Foster (MD); children: Taneasha Green (GA), Dwayne Bell (MD), Antwon Bell (MD), Vincent L.
